Biography
Kevin Hern is the Republican Nominee for U.S. Senate in Oklahoma. A Tulsa businessman who built his fortune at a McDonald's franchisee, Hern has represented Oklahoma's 1st Congressional District in the U.S. House since 2018. He chairs the House Republican Policy Committee and sits on the Ways and Means Committee, focusing on tax policy.
Policy Positions
Border Security & Immigration
Hern supports strict enforcement of immigration law and a secure southern border. He strongly supports building a border wall and opposes sanctuary cities, and has said he's running in part to secure the southern border, deport illegal immigrants, and stand with law enforcement.
Tax Relief & Pro-Growth Tax Policy
As a senior Ways and Means member, Hern has championed eliminating taxes on tips, overtime pay, and seniors' Social Security as part of the 2025 reconciliation tax package, and helped raise the estate tax threshold to $15 million per parent to protect family farms and businesses, while also backing full, immediate expensing for equipment purchases.
Lower Healthcare Costs & Patient Centered Reform
Hern backs shifting healthcare decision making away from insurers and back to patients. He is working with the Ways and Means Committee to lower healthcare costs and shift decision making power away from insurance companies and back to patients.
Rural & Agricultural Support
Hern has emphasized policies aimed at protecting rural Oklahoma's economy and farm communities. On top of the estate-tax relief, he addressed rising input costs for farmers and advocated for work requirements for adults without dependents in the Farm Bill, along with a broader push to improve rural schools and medical facilities to counter the flight to urban areas.

Issue 01 — Border
Pro-America · Hern
Secure the Border, Enforce the Law
Kevin Hern has stood with President Trump's border agenda from day one — finishing the wall, hiring more ICE officers, and deporting criminal illegal aliens. He traveled to El Salvador to see firsthand where the worst gang members are being held. A sovereign nation controls who enters it.
Socialist · Thomas
Silent on the Border
N'Kiyla Jasmine Thomas is running on the national progressive platform but won't tell Oklahomans where she stands on illegal immigration. Her first promise isn't securing the border — it's impeaching the President who did.
Issue 02 — Bigger Federal Government
Pro-America · Hern
Power Belongs to the People
Hern built his success from nothing, owning 18 Oklahoma McDonald's before he ever ran for office. In Congress he led the Republican Study Committee, fought for balanced budgets, lower taxes, and work requirements for welfare, and voted against the 2023 debt deal that kept Washington spending.
Socialist · Thomas
A Washington Takeover of Everything
Thomas calls herself a democratic socialist. She campaigns on Medicare forAll — a government takeover of your health care — plus federal universal childcare and new paid leave mandates. Every promise comes with a mandate, and every mandate comes with your tax bill.
Issue 03 — Social Issues
Pro-America · Hern
Faith, Family, and Freedom
Hern defends the values Oklahoma was built on — faith, family, protections for the unborn, fairness in women's sports, and parents' right to raise their children by their own convictions.
Socialist · Thomas
Radical Social Engineering
Thomas wants to restore Roe v. Wade nationwide, overriding Oklahoma's pro-life laws, and runs on the far-left social agenda. Under her vision, Washington decides — not Oklahoma families.
Issue 04 — Gun Rights
Pro-America · Hern
Shall Not Be Infringed
Hern stands with Oklahoma's law-abiding gun owners and against every attempt to erode the Second Amendment, focusing enforcement on criminals and cartels.
Socialist · Thomas
Won't Stand Up for Gun Owners
Thomas has offered no position on the Second Amendment while running on the same national progressive agenda that pushes gun bans and red-flag confiscation. Oklahoma gun owners deserve a senator who will say where she stands.
The Choice is Clear
Thomas is running in Oklahoma, but she is not running on Oklahoma values. Kevin Hern stands with Oklahomans to secure our most fundamental freedoms.
