Biography

David Flippo is the Republican nominee for Nevada's 2nd Congressional District in the 2026 election. A retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel, he served 24 years on active duty, including combat command of more than 1,000 Airmen in Iraq, and earned a Bronze Star. After leaving the military, he spent a decade managing maintenance teams on BP's North Slope oilfields in Alaska before becoming a licensed financial advisor and small business owner in Nevada. He now centers his campaign on border security, fiscal conservatism, and defending constitutional rights.

Policy Positions

  1. Fiscal Conservatism & Limited Government

    Flippo opposes government bailouts, subsidies, and tax increases, and pushes for regulatory reform, arguing that economic freedom and a smaller federal footprint are essential to prosperity.

  2. Border & National Security

    Drawing on his military background, Flippo supports securing the border and strengthening national defense, treating border security as a foundation of both public safety and sovereignty.

  3. Second Amendment Rights

    He is a strong advocate for gun rights, opposing new restrictions on law-abiding gun owners and supporting the constitutional right to bear arms.
